Agnes Namaganda holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and Master of Science in Physiology. She is employed as an assistant lecturer in the department of physiology, College of Health Sciences at Makerere University. From her graduate training, she developed some academic and research skills that helped her achieve her long-term career goal of becoming a lecturer at a university where she can teach and do research.

She is interested in doing research in non-communicable diseases which is a highly emerging health concern in Africa and cardio renal pathophysiology. To attain this, she has done some research in this area to attain some background research knowledge in this field. She is also a co-author on seven publications, this has enabled her attain knowledge on research writing skills. Currently, she is a PhD fellow on the Impact Program. Her area of interest is Her PHD topic is Kidney dysfunction among patients with Rheumatic Heart Disease: Prevalence, Clinical phenotyping and Clinical Outcomes.
