Her research interests include non-communicable diseases and healthcare implementation research at clinical and public health level. On the Impact Program, Dr. Nakiganda will conduct a study titled, ‘determining the most appropriate outcome for acute rheumatic fever (ARF) therapeutics clinical trials’
Her research will also focus on the feasibility of conducting these trials in terms of recruitment and retention; assess factors that affect adherence to protocol in these trails and validate novel recruitment methods developed and used in Uganda across four diverse continental locations. This work will guide the design of future ARF therapeutics trials to improve outcomes of children with ARF and could set the standard for Global ARF surveillance.
In her free time, Dr Ndagire enjoys watching movies and recreational reading.
