Dr. John Tebajanga is a first-year resident at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) pursuing a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine from the same institution. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and is passionate about patient care, particularly for those with heart disease. His long-term goal is to become specialized in cardiology, particularly interventional cardiology, in order to enhance the care provided to cardiology patients in south-western and eastern Uganda.
As a master’s fellow on the Impact Program, Dr. Tebajanga will examine ‘Prevalence and factors associated with kidney dysfunction among Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) patients attending Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital RHD clinic in southwestern Uganda.’
In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music; watching Formula One; playing football and reading the Bible.
