Pulle holds a Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Nursing Science from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. He is currently the Program Lead, Science and Regulatory, Rheumatic Heart Disease Research Collaborative at the Uganda Heart Institute (UHI). Here, he oversees compliance to ethics and regulatory standards at all RRCU sites, coordinates clinical research and staff training and conducts echocardiography screening for Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) diagnosis. As a PhD fellow under the Impact Program, Pulle will undertake a study titled, “Optimizing Rheumatic Heart Disease Programs to Promote Patient-Centered Care: A Multiple-Methods Implementation Research Project to Improve the ADUNU Program in Northern Uganda.”

Through this research, he intends to characterize the uptake of RHD screening within populations of Kitgum and Amuru districts; determine the optimal mix of different active case-finding approaches for a positive RHD screening exam among 5-39 year olds in the two districts; understand determinants of linkage to care following a positive RHD screening exam and evaluate the durability of the ADUNU (Accelerating Delivery of Rheumatic Heart Disease Prevention in Northern Uganda) Program on patient outcomes after 24 months of diagnosis of patients in the two districts.
In his free time, Pulle enjoys watching soccer, movies, jogging, cooking and playing basketball. Currently, he spends most of his free time with his young family.
